To get right to the point, I’m taking this year off. I am very sorry to disappoint anyone that was looking forward to the run. This year I wanted to wipe the slate clean and start over with a real adventure. We had some great ideas, Vermont, Maine, Pennsylvania and Upper New York state were all on the list of possibilities. My favorite for a long time was Nova Scotia. All these fantastic ideas were too costly in time or… cost. So what are we going to do? To be honest, I don’t know.
Until we figure out what is next for the Gypsy Run, we are going to set up several runs and events throughout the riding season. Maybe take a ride to one the many places of interest up and down the east coast. Motorcycle shops, events, restaurants, bars, music venues and maybe even a museum once in a while. Point being, there are a ton of cool things to do within a few hundred miles of where we are.
At the same time Dusty and I will continue to produce Cheap Thrills Motorcycle Shows and Swapmeets all over the east coast. Our first event for this year will be an Open House / Swap Meet at my shop later this month. We will announce the details this friday.
I want to thank everyone who has come on the run, all of my friends that have pitched in and all of our sponsors and vendors that have made the Gypsy Run what it is, whatever that is. Hope to see you soon.
